The Jewish cemetery in Oisterwijk is one of approximately 230 Jewish cemeteries in the Netherlands. As one of the Netherlands' oldest and relatively most intact Jewish cemeteries, it enjoys - along with 28 others - a protected monument status. This in view of its importance because of the memory value and the significance of the cultural, religious and regional history.
The Jewish cemetery in Oisterwijk is located in the forrest south of the residential center of Oisterwijk and has existed for approximately 275 years (since 1748). The cemetery contains about 200 graves; there are 164 tombstones present. The cemetery is walled and at the entrance is a Metaheerhuisje (corpse house).
